LEVEL3 Terms of Service

Welcome to LEVEL3, a developer program by Arkadia Heilbronn gGmbH. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in LEVEL3, including your access to and use of any related tools, platforms, or communications channels (e.g., our website, Discord server).

By applying to or participating in LEVEL3, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not participate in the program.

1. Eligibility

To participate in LEVEL3, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a demonstrable interest in software development
  • Complete and submit the application truthfully and in full

We reserve the right to accept or reject applications at our sole discretion.

2. Program Overview

LEVEL3 is a free, hands-on developer program that focuses on real-world programming challenges, collaboration, and personal growth. It does not offer a formal degree, diploma, or job guarantee. The format, content, and schedule of the program are subject to change at any time.

3. Code of Conduct

You agree to:

  • Behave respectfully and professionally toward all participants and mentors
  • Not engage in harassment, hate speech, or disruptive behavior
  • Follow all rules posted in our communication channels (e.g., Discord)

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove you from LEVEL3 for violations of this Code of Conduct.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, you retain ownership of any code or content you create during LEVEL3. However, by participating, you grant Arkadia Heilbronn gGmbH a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Showcase your work publicly in relation to LEVEL3
  • Use anonymized output for promotional, educational, or research purposes

If you use third-party materials, you are responsible for ensuring that their use is compliant with applicable licenses.

5. Data and Privacy

We collect and process your application data and participation details as outlined in our Privacy Policy. This includes, but is not limited to: your name, email, Discord ID, GitHub, LinkedIn, submitted documents, and other information provided during the application process.

Some of your data may be shared with trusted third-party service providers who are contractually bound to Arkadia Heilbronn gGmbH and assist in running the program.

6. Photography and Media Use

By participating in LEVEL3, you acknowledge and agree that photos and video footage may be taken during the program events and activities. These images and recordings may include your likeness.

You grant Arkadia Heilbronn gGmbH the unrestricted, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute these images and recordings for promotional, marketing, documentation, and press-related purposes in any format or medium.

If you do not wish to appear in media content, please notify us in writing prior to the start of the program.

7. No Guarantees or Warranties

LEVEL3 is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • That you will complete the program
  • That you will find a job or freelance work
  • That any tools or services will be available at all times

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify participants via email or Discord. Continued participation in LEVEL3 after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Termination

You may withdraw from LEVEL3 at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any participant for violation of these Terms or for behavior that undermines the integrity of the program.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Heilbronn, Germany.
